I hate politics, I hate them with a passion. No one is honest, no one is even on the same plane as the rest of society. When I listen to politicians, I feel the same way as when I listen to Oprah Winfrey (a woman who has not grocery shopped for herself in 30 years). They aren’t me. They are some manufactured idea from a group of people who decided they think they know what I like more than me myself.
I can’t rightfully vote for either of these “deplorable” people because my conscious doesn’t allow me. Anyone who speaks to and about women the way Trump has or defends rapists and committers of sexual assault like Clinton has, I have no compassion or sympathy for. They are snakes.
But there is one thing I can say with confidence that I found enlightening throughout this debacle with Trump and the leaked recording from 11 years ago, he has apologized. I know it may not mean anything to anyone, but it means something to me. He won’t get my vote, never had it, but he apologized. The act of apology is a lost art in our country. We are so quick to try and justify our positions and actions, but it’s when we make the step in the right direction, and say “hey, I messed up” we make a step in the right direction.
So, yeah, the article is kinda click bait. I wanted you to click on it and here you are, but what I really want is for you to find a reason to say “I’m sorry” to someone who you have offended. I would like us to become professional apologizers for the sins we commit. Repentance is an amazing thing and with the changing of our minds, we move forward in our sanctification through Christ.
